What do we mean by "Design a life"?

If you are not living your dreams, you are living someone else's.

For 40 years I was a dental surgeon.  I retired at 60 and 4 years later I was diagnosed with autism and ADHD.

Subsequent analyses showed I was not really suitable to be a dental surgeon so for 40 years I was living someone else's dream

My wife died of bowel cancer in 2017 and in 2019 I met Rin.

Two weeks prior, she had prayed to this shrine in Bangkok for a "Foreigner with a good heart and good morals" - her words!

Never mind, she got me!

Then came COVID!

We were apart for 19 months but that allowed me to regroup, find some money and together (daily Zoom calls) we built a house back in the village she grew up in a rural North East Thailand amongst the rice fields.

We now spend 6 months in Thailand and 6 months in the UK.

It is always a joy to get back to the village and be part of the village community again.

I recently got a bollocking from my GP regarding my blood pressure but 1 week back in Thailand and my blood pressure is low again!  My body seems to appreciate the life I have now designed even if my GP doesn't!

All this has been possible by being able to earn sufficient online to sustain this lifestyle without having to worry about it.

I now spend 6 months of my life in a country where I have absolutely no idea what is happening but I am completely happy with this, being surrounded by beautiful countryside and beautiful people.

The point is, anybody could do this.

I will show you how, but to start, you have to go back to basics and dream.

If you are prepared to share your dreams with me. together we can make your dreams a reality.

Read the blog on how to start your dream.

If I can do it then so can anyone.

The idea of being a "Digital nomad" is becoming increasingly popular and many countries are now offering visa opportunities to encourage you to move there.
